Is 30 really the new 20?

I have exactly 3 days, before I turn 29. I used to laugh at older people dreading the big 3-0. I didn't see the reason why they'd freak out. Today, my 4 year old asked me how old I was and I almost choked while saying 29. About a couple of weeks ago, while my sister was flat-ironing my hair, she found my first strand of white.... I almost cried. And today, I understand why. 30 is when you really feel like you just let go of your youth. I see the change in me. I can't even say yes to some of my singleton friends who still do the whole club scene. I'm just plain exhausted. With that said... IT'S TIME FOR BED. haha! Goodnight! xoxo

All Clear!

About a year ago, my Mom was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. About 2 weeks ago, I had my first pap smear in 4 years. (yikes) I was very alarmed when my OB-GYN asked me to do a more thorough procedure. My results took quite a long time to get in. My doctor just called and said ALL CLEAR! The best two words I've heard in quite a while now. :) Now it's time to get vaccinated! woot! Happy day! (even if I'm feelin a bit sick. I feel a bad cough erupting soon)

Busy Week

Wow... That was a busy week! I haven't posted anything in a long time! Just going out to do the groceries then I shall post. lol. Tootles

Check-Up Day

I was at the hospital today. For a total of 5 frickin hours, I was being poked and prodded. This was all cuz of my family history with cervical cancer. (A little over a year ago, my mother was diagnosed with stage 1B cervical clear cell carcinoma - apparently one of the most aggressive types of cancer. I thank God every single day, that she is in complete remission)

I haven't had my period in like 26 days! I'm happy that everything is as normal as can be. I just hate the fact that I have to wait another week for my pap results to get back from the lab! On another note, I'm pretty relieved to not be pregnant! I need to shed mucho pounds before I blow up like a blimp again! Happy weekend!!!

Why Does It Always Rain On Me?

For a few days now, my plans to start the Couch to 5K program has been pushed back because of the rain. Normally, I'd rejoice at the sight of rain - and all of you Twilighters or Twi-hard fans would understand why. Ha ha ha! Seriously though, I've loved rain since I was a kid. Waaaaay before I learned about the small town of Forks.

Since my plans of running have been dampened by the weather, Bianca and I decided to visit my husband, Jonas, at the office. Big mistake. Traffic going home was HORRIBLE. So bad, that we had to turn into Rockwell and stay there til the traffic subsided. Walked around for a bit... and then... I saw it... Staring right back at me...

I did not even bother asking how much the damage would cost. I just walked away. (Truth is, I could see my husband's evil eyes glaring at me from behind. hee hee) So when I got home, I checked and this lovely bad is on sale! From $2,995.00 it now costs $1,438.00. Hot? Or not? I love it. I shall find a way.

For dinner, we were pretty excited to hit up Banana Leaf for some Laksa, Hainanese Chicken, Roti Canai and Pad Thai. We didn't know that the Poweplant branch had closed down. So we ended up in Cibo. Had a lovely dinner, then took Bianca toy shopping. She's been doing so well in school and I wanted to reward her. :) Forgot to bring my camera to take shots of our food. I've decided to make this part food blog. Ha ha!

It's still raining right now... Pretty much pouring... I'm doubtful that I'll be able to go running tomorrow, so I guess I better pack my gym bag. Treadmill, here I come!

Dieting Sucks

I'm pretty much starting to hate this diet. I am starving and it's only 2pm. Oatmeal for breakfast and dinner pretty much sucks and watching The Food Network does not help. I'm just about as grumpy as Oscar the Grouch.
